Join us for a special screening of Finding Dawn (2006) at the Minden Hills Cultural Centre on Thursday, May 1, 2025 at 1:00 PM. 

Directed by Métis filmmaker Christine Welsh, Finding Dawn is a powerful documentary that traces the stories of missing and murdered Indigenous women from Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside to the Highway of Tears. It exposes systemic violence while honouring Indigenous strength and resilience. The screening takes place in advance of Red Dress Day (May 5), a National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit People (MMIWG2S). 

Admission is free, and all ages are welcome. No pre-registration is required. The documentary is provided courtesy of the National Film Board (NFB).
